David Menconi has the news on his blog about two more acts for Raleigh's Downtown Live series: Charlie Daniels Band and Filter. I honestly am not all that upset about CDB. He's at least from North Carolina, and even though everyone mainly remembers "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," he's not really a one-hit wonder. But Filter? I honestly have no clue who this band is.
Kind of ironic because someone today e-mailed and asked how my own downtown series was coming along. Since that post, I truly haven't though much about it, but perhaps it's time to take this series idea out of the theoretical category.
