Video from Dreamscapes of the Perverse

Last night I FINALLY got the chance to check out Dreamscapes of the Perverse at Berkeley Cafe. Can I just say I love the fact that the Berkeley is apparently equally known for both metal and blues? Anyway, If you're into black metal at all, you need to check these guys out. They're equal parts loud, intense, angry brutality, and intricate, delicate sorrow. The best thing about them is they don't seem to take themselves seriously (the music, on the other hand, they definitely take seriously). There's none of this "we're so evil" BS. They're just a bunch of dudes who really love playing heavy music.

Check out the video. It's dark, and you mostly get a view of the guitarist's hair, but it should give you an indication of what they sound like. This is the first song they played, "Rise of Self" from the album "Gignesthai."
