Rockin' the Stove with Chef Shirlé
(Chef Shirlé and James Hepler of IWTDI)
Shirlé Koslowski, who is widely known as both a chef and a bad-ass bass player (Ex-Members, Gerty), has been writing a cool vegetarian food blog, Rockin' the Stove, for a while. Now she's doing a video podcast with local musicians sharing their recipes. Her first guest is James Hepler, drummer for I Was Totally Destroying It and Sorry About Dresden, whipping up Brussels sprout saute and curried deviled eggs.
When she's not at the stove, Shirlé plays in a new band, Free Electric State, with husband David Koslowski on guitar, Pinhook owner Nick Williams on bass, and Wigg Report's Stephen Mullany on drums, which she describes as "swirly rock, ala rise, My Bloody Valentine, Swerve Driverish."
